Bang Bang Rock And Roll

Almost forgot, Art Brut rokked The Drunken Unicorn so solid last Saturday night his loafers (and almost the shirt) came off. Not sure just how many Jean Philippe Arthur Dubuffet fans were in the house, but it tasted like neighborhood thirty. Maybe forty. Too bad the only person dancing was the piss-drunk mother of four in the day-glo, plastic, vomit hat in front of us. We’re pretty tickled with the way the pictures turned up, though.

I love the way you edumakate us simpletons on art ‘n’ shyte. It is the Spence school.

Asskissing aside, heard that Art Brut’s part of new movement coming out of the UK where lead singers are mostly talking/storytelling (instead of singing) over music.

art brut had stiff competition at coachella as they were on at the same time as Tool.

i was hoping you had pictures of the drunk woman in the day glo hat.

bout time someone channelled billy childish

yes, the dancing woman was quite terrifying.

thank you.that is quite vomitous.

I saw em too! That was one beautiful ‘stache, yet it wasn’t enough to hold my interest for more than half their show. I was kinda let down especially after loving the handful of tracks I’ve had since last year. The San Diego show had a full house of the usual 25 and under crowd, most of them rockin’ out and dancing about.

Love the Art Brut. Great shots, Spencer. When they played LA, I was next to David Cross and didn’t want to look uncool to him by taking pictures. Stupid me.

All the whiney Brit bands that cry about not being able to break in the States need to take notice— this is how it is done. You play your asses off, everywhere, repeatedly. These guys practically live on the road here and surprised everyone by grabbing the headline spot on the Coachella 2nd stage.

CHALETS……TOP OF THE POPS!!

no tix for the braggart. :(
