Our initial gut, brain, and heart reaction to this first Factory Girl trailer was simply ‘no.’ But we watched it again -and then once more- reconsidered, and now we’re going with ‘no.’

I’m so addicted to these people that of course I’ll see it. But you know they botched it. Guy Pierce as Warhol is like casting Clooney as Napolean Dynamite. Sienna’s dead on though.

The only question is whether this or Bobby will be the biggest faux historical celebrity-laden disaster of the year. After seeing that Bobby trailer play non-stop on the Comedy Central 11-12 block, I’ll still take that one. Watching Lindsey Lohan deliver lines about body bags coming home from Vietnam blows my mind.

I vastly prefer Jared Harris’s Andy to Guy Pierce’s…dreamy one. Also using “Life on Mars” is so shorthand-cheating to create grandeur, like how 1,000 trailers used “Hey Ya” to project ‘fun.’ Totally renting it though. Does anyone know if Edie really talked like that?
