Stray Toast
Another treat from the Goldenfiddle Vaults. Here we have the greatest print advertisement for MTV, ever, ripped from a Rolling Stone magazine, by Bill Sienkiewicz, circa 1991.
Man oh man, that brings it back. I had that up on my dorm room wall in college (right alongside that Guess photo of Anna Nicole Smith).
Bill Plympton is the guy who did the pencil line drawings in the MTV ads.

I wonder if he’s the same guy who did the ones for MTV that were in plain black ink (pencil?) on a white background with Reagan punching in Gorbachev’s face so it was all smushed inward. Been looking for whoever did those for years.
