What Are You Looking At, Cunt-Person?

Tuileries: Joel & Ethan Coen’s charming, if not inconsequential, short-film contribution to Paris, Je T’Aime. Between this short and the five incredible No Country For Old Men clips, we’re kind of having a Coens conniption fit over here. (via recidivism)

  • UPDATE: Ethan Coen, and his older brother Joel, discuss the role of panning in films with their former DP, the hilarious Barry Sonnenfeld.

cunt person, nice translation.

also the bell by the computer nice tip for the final cut pros. maybe the geniuses at the genius bar will pick up on that one, more bells and whistles please!

Ack! Buscemi close-ups, the horror! He’s the man. No one does sweetly befuddled like Buscemi.

they’re more creative since the one brother got the sex change. oops! wrong brother directors!

imdb says they have 4 more in the works.

Blog post of the week.

Fantastic stuff.

Nice bit of tie in between the bell mentioned in the Coen clip & the Buscemi short. Buscemi played “Chet” the bellhop in Barton Fink. A similar bell at the hotel front desk figured prominently in scenes involving Chet.
