Blues Power
Clapton’s young and still learning, so we’ll forgive him the missed note, here and there, but it’s the saxaphone player (listen for the almost Charlie Parkeresque solo at 00:39) who reveals himself to be the true bluesman in this song. And, correct us if we’re wrong, but isn’t this footage from Clapton’s totally awesome Journeyman period? (wired)
Good god, that is awful.
this is unreal. it’s like that hunter s. thompson story. he gave everyone a hit of acid at a party (separately) with a warning not tell anyone, as it was his last hit.
i love the blazer sleeves comment.
Mingus he ain’t.
that kid didnt fall out the window, he heard him sussing out this tasty little riffcapade.
the only cool thing he ever did was rock that “no blow, no show” t -shirt.
and that was pretty fuckin lame

you can tell it’s after the journeyman era because the sleeves of god’s blazer aren’t rolled up & phil collins isn’t playing drums.
