Josephine Potter
Recently, on the way back from the wedding of one of goldenfiddle’s most trusted business associates in Charleston, SC, we stopped for gas and Cheerwine at some podunk BP/thrift store. The book was on a shelf next to an old issue of Soldier Of Fortune. Obviously, it was a very, very tough decision. At first we weren’t even sure who that was on the cover. It appears that the future ex-Mrs. Cruise-bot 3000 may have been severely beaten around the jowl and mouth area just prior to the photo-shoot. Anyway, it was only $2.99, so we had office manager (s)extraordinaire JJ Bunsie read the whole thing aloud during the remainder of the drive.
Synopsis: Play with me,” the voice cried. From day one Joey doesn’t like the lighthouse. There’s something creepy about it. But now that Dawson has persuaded Jen, Pacey, and Joey to volunteer as summer interns at the local Oceanographic Institute, Joey’s been assigned the role of tour guide at the abandoned, forbidding structure. Her friends think she’s stressing out, but Joey swears she’s hearing voices. Or at least one whispery, childlike girl’s voice, that calls and calls to her. Someone—or something—is out there. “Play with me, Josephine…”
Cruel and hostile work environment.
obvs it is the ghost of jen.
i suspect there’s no ghost in the story at all. this is just another example of JJ’s Machiavellian mind games.
JJ is hot!
three cheers for CHEERWINE!
aka the only thing good NC has given us besides that first flight and a college basketball team to hate on (Duke)
oh, I take that back. it is the ghost of dawson and gretchen’s aborted baby.
mix 2 parts cheerwine with 1 part pineapple juice, throw in an ice ring and you have the best holiday punch of all time.

spoiler: at the end the “gang” discovers the voice is Godot.
