MEAN: There Will Be Blood is remarkable among your films so far for its out-right absence of comedy. Is that reflective of the times we live in? Is this no time to escape?

Ugh, Jonah Hill…nasty. Not even an interesting kinda of ugly, in a Buscemi or JC Reilly way.
go P.T. Bad Santa is one of those movies that people love and reference. Comes up every Christmas season. Fred Claus or such and such movie is “no Bad Santa.”

i’m wondering what the “strange” stuff is that the initial (mostly good) reviews are referring to. the bedbugs didn’t hurt the creative process, apparently.

Excited to see if the buzz is warranted. The real question is whether or not it’s a western. This year has been all about western-ish movies that don’t want to be called westerns.
